- An 8-week course on compositing for feature film, animation, and 3D techniques using Nuke
- Nuke Compositing for 3D artists is the perfect course for anyone who works with 3D renders. This includes lighting artist, and FX artists that want to composite and put the final touches on their shots and elements. This is also the perfect course for anyone that works with 2D images, whether you shoot your own footage and want to integrate other elements into your footage, or just want to put the final touches on your footage such as grading, adding flares and post camera moves. Not only do we cover basics of Nuke, we will cover many of Nuke’s powerful features such as Nuke’s 3D system and Nuke’s Particle system. By the end of the course, you will be able to start a shot and take it to the finish line with confidence. If you’ve ever wanted to experience what a post production workflow of a compositor is in the VFX industry, this course will replicate that production workflow. You will learn and train your eyes to pay careful attention to details along with organization skills to maintain a clean workflow. You will learn how to manage your time and handle critique. Students will finish the course with the confidence to composite on an animated feature or a live-action feature. *NOTE: Students enrolled in this course are eligible for a short term 6 month student Production Collective license. - An 8-week continuation course from Dynamic Sketching 1, utilizing observational drawing to understand how to see the world from a design perspective
- Foundational drawing is the most important aspect of being a designer. This class is designed to take the lessons from Dynamic Sketching 1, and further the practice of applying those skills in onsite drawing while creating new concepts from particular themes. There will be more exploration on the student’s part in going out and finding the required sites to draw.
- This is a heavier workload and more intensive training compared to the previous Dynamic Sketching 1 class. The student should be prepared to work coming into this class. It is preferred that the students locate a site for onsite drawing related to the weekly subject rather than drawing from reference.
- An 8-week course utilizing observational drawing to understand how to see the world for the creation of design and illustration; develop strong foundation sketching skills through observation
- Learn how to communicate visually through drawing principles and knowledge. Dynamic Sketching will enable you to approach the world around and begin to observe life. We will use observation as inspiration to begin your own designs. Design can be a daunting task at times and may take longer for others to master but with the dynamic sketching approach you will have stepping stones along the way.
- Dynamic Sketching 1 is a class designed to develop a foundation in basic drawing skills. Students will learn how to break down objects to their most simplistic forms. Using pen and toned paper, students will learn to build confidence in their line work.
